Project Update | Cronulla
MESO Solutions is excited to share the latest update from our project in Cronulla for our client, Jarvis. This site is tricky, but the MESO Team is prepared. Despite tight boundaries and challenging neighbouring conditions, the crew has pushed ahead and made significant progress.
Challenging Site
With close neighbouring boundaries and wind-blown, super fine sand, this site brought a whole set of challenges – lack of cohesion, high risk of sudden collapse, high permeability, and risk of erosion behind shoring system. Careful control is required when working with fine sands due to settlement issues.
Super fine, wind-blown sands are one of the most difficult soils to handle in shoring and demand careful planning and robust support systems. Excavations can face risk of collapse. Despite these challenging conditions, the MESO crew has successfully installed sheet piles up to 12m deep.
With excavations complete and anchors locked in, this site is prepared for the next stage.
MESO Brace in Action
MESO Brace has been installed for support as the site moves into the next stages. Our bracing system is custom designed for every site.
MESO Team’s persistence and collaboration have kept this site moving forward. Stay tuned for more updates as this site progresses.
We engineer it — with precision, persistence and care.
