Project Update | 21 Berry St, Cronulla
MESO Solutions is excited to share the latest update from our project in Cronulla for our client, Jarvis. This site is tricky, but the MESO Team is prepared. Even with tight boundaries and challenging neighbouring conditions, the crew has pushed ahead and made significant progress.
Challenging Site
With close neighbouring boundaries and wind-blown, super fine sand, which brings a whole set of challenges – lack of cohesion, high risk of sudden collapse, high permeability, and risk of erosion behind shoring system. And because fine sands are tricky to compact uniformly, careful control is required to avoid settlement issues.
Excavation faces in such soil are unstable and at risk of collapse. Super fine, wind-blown sands are one of the most difficult soils to handle in shoring and demand careful planning, precise execution and robust support systems. Despite these challenging conditions, the MESO crew has successfully installed sheet piles up to 12m deep. With excavations complete and anchors locked in, this site is prepared for the next stage.
MESO Brace in Action
To reinforce the structure, MESO Brace has been installed for support as we move into the next stages. The bracing system is custom designed by our team of experts to suit the needs of each site. MESO Team’s persistence and collaboration have kept this site moving forward.
Even with close boundaries and extremely tough site conditions, the crew is delivering each stage with precision and care. Stay tuned for more updates as this site progresses.
We engineer it — with precision, persistence and care.
